William T. "Kip" Tobin Jr.

William T. “Kip” Tobin Jr, of Akron, Ohio died on July 12, 2026.

Born in Akron, Kip was a graduate of Western Reserve Academy and the University of Akron.

Kip dedicated himself to his family and the many great friends he made during every stage of life. He was always the one everyone looked to for the fun plan of the day. Anyone from his life can easily recall a “Kip” story or adventure that brings a smile to their face.

Although always calling Akron home, Kip’s passion for traveling took him all over the world. He also had an enduring love of skiing and would proudly be the first one on the chair lift and the last one off the mountain on a bluebird ski day.

As a force for good that would be there to help anyone, Kip spent his retirement volunteering for Akron Children’s Hospital and Junior Achievement.

He is preceded in death by mother Susan and father William T. “Bill”. He is survived by son William T. III (Susan), daughter Alexandra, grandchildren William T. “Tommy” IV and Eloise, brother Bradford, and step-mother Ellen.

Private family services will be held.
