Annamae D. Harrison

Annamae D. Harrison, 96, of Akron, died on June 15, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1925 in Akron to Harry and Marie Dutt.

Annamae graduated from Buchtel High School and went on to become a Social Worker. She married her husband, Ronald in 1944.

Annamae was active in various community service organizations that included Fortnightly Club of Akron, Women’s Auxiliary Board of Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, Akron General Medical Center Service League, Akron Symphony Guild of the Greater Akron Musical Association, League of Women Voters of the Akron Area and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Akron Altar Guild.

Annamae was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Linda and sister, Jane Greenwald. She is survived by son, David (Dianna); granddaughters, Sophia (Jason) Boylan and Abigail.

A Memorial Service at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Paul’s Choir Fund,1361 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44313 or Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, 714 North Portage Path Akron, OH 44303.
