Derrick G. Noonkester

Derrick Noonkester of Akron was born August 14 1999 and suddenly passed on October 6 2020. Derrick loved life, loved to laugh, and loved the outdoors. He would light up any room and there's not a person who knows him that doesn't have a funny story to tell. Growing up he was always happiest outside; from camping and fishing to helping his grandpa in the yard to his first job maintaining the golf course to fixing roofs and trimming trees. Derrick was also an avid recycler and loved to be around the fire. 

Derrick is survived by his Mother Melissa, Father Glen, Brother Jake, Grandparents Jayne, Don & Jo-Anna, Aunts Vanessa and Kyla, Nephew Ethan, Cousin Anya, His Scouting family Boy Scout Troop 74!, and a multitude of extended family and friends. 

In lieu of services. the family asks that you light a fire and celebrate Derrick's life with them on October 13 2020 and share your memories on his tribute.
