Eleanor "Petsy" Denison
Eleanor "Petsy" Denison passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of Feb 5.
Petsy is survived by her husband, John "Ted" Denison; siblings, Evelyn Gale of Cuyahoga Falls and Nonnie Lind of Venice, FL; her children, Susan Mizin, John Denison Jr., and Ken Denison, as well as eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly.
In her youth Petsy was a proud majorette at Akron University, where she met her future husband Ted on a hay ride. She continued to live in the Akron and Cuyahoga Falls area her entire life. Always a "straight-shooter," she was quick to speak her mind and tell things how she saw them, and possessed a sharp wit and humor which she retained throughout her life. Petsy was the loving matriarch who bonded together a large dispersed family, devoted to ensuring every child was loved and cared for.
In accordance with her wishes there will be no formal service; her family requests that all who knew her keep her memory in their hearts. (Billow FALLS Chapel)
