September 15, 1941 ~ January 9, 2024 (age 82) 82 Years Old
Ethel Wells Tisi, age 82 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 1/9/24 at Green Village Nursing facility in Akron, Ohio. Ethel was born on September 15, 1941 in Davy, West Virginia.
Ethel is preceded in death by her loving parents Cecil and Mary Bishop and brothers Bubba, Arthur and Smutty Wells. Ethel is survived by her children Terry Maness of Portsmouth, Virgina, Chet (Donna) Vaught of Akron, Ohio, Deb Gil of Akron, Ohio whom she shared with former spouse Chester Vaught and Kristina (Robbie) Tisi of Adelphi, Ohio whom she shared with former spouse Guido Tisi. Ethel is also survived by her grandchildren Patricia Bickel, Lance (Samantha) Bickel, Gage Maness, Gabriella Tisi, Isabella Tisi, Lorena Vaught, Nathan Vaught, Liam Smith and great grandchildren Berkeley Bickel and baby Bickel to be born in June. She is also survived by beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Ethel moved to Virgina in her teens where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and later moved to Ohio where she made many lifelong friends. Ethel was a paralegal for the law firm of Bertsch, Fludine, Millican, & O’Malley followed by the law firm of Arter & Hadden. Ethel loved entertaining, cooking, gardening, and sports. She loved animals and even bred her own litter of puppies; however, she fell in love and kept all 3 puppies. She also fed and befriended domestic & feral cats, opossums & raccoons. Ethel prided herself in playing an integral role in bringing soccer programs to Sharon Center, Ohio. The family would like to thank Green Village Nursing Facility and Traditions Hospice for their loving care.
Graveside service will be held on Monday January 15, 2024 at Green Summit Cemetery in Adelphi, Ohio at 1:00 p.m. with a brief viewing prior to the service.
