Helen Davison Fleming passed away on 21 Feb. 2024. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, the only daughter of Leroy and Beatrice Davison. Helen attended Nebraska Wesleyan College where she earned her degree in music.  She met her husband Chisna Fleming in Lincoln, Nebraska. They married on Christmas Eve 1951 and remained happily married for 54 years until his death in 2006.

The couple moved to Paducah, Kentucky and Helen taught elementary school. In 1955 the family moved to Akron, Ohio when Chisna went to work for Ohio Edison. Helen spent the next 65 years in Akron, then relocated nearby to live with her daughter Giselle.

She was active in Meals on Wheels, volunteered as a tax preparer through AARP, and served leadership roles at Weathervane and for the U.S.S. Cowpens reunion association; Chisna’s WWII navy ship.  She loved to travel with her husband and visited every state and made some trips to Europe.

She was predeceased by her parents LeRoy and Beatrice Davison, her husband Chisna “Cue” Fleming, her son Kevin Fleming, and her brother Harold Davison.

She is survived by her son Martin and daughter-in-law Monika Fleming of Tarboro, North Carolina, her daughter Giselle and son-in law Kevin Westmeyer of Canton, her daughter Rachel and son-in-law Brian Bean of Akron.
