Joseph J. Eyre, 89, of Cuyahoga Falls passed away March 6, 2021, leaving a legacy of hard work, good deeds, and a loving family.
He was born July 2, 1931, grew up in Suffield, and was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Camella Eyre, and siblings, Alice Adams and Calvin Eyre.
Joe had a 39-year career with Goodyear starting with the apprentice program and working in a variety of management roles in Ohio, Tennessee, and Michigan. While at Goodyear, Joe earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and MBA degrees at Kent State University. Following his Goodyear retirement, he was the owner and president of Marik Spring for 11 years. Joe was an active volunteer at United Presbyterian Church and helped and mentored many throughout his life.
Joe is survived by Pat, his wife of nearly 65 years, and their five children, Joe (Teri) Eyre, Jim (Paula Volino) Eyre, Jeff (Linda) Eyre, John (Lee Ann) Eyre M.D., and Jane (Glen) Fitzjerrell as well as seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to United Presbyterian Church, Cuyahoga Falls or Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center, Fairlawn.
