Joyce M. Fatur, Ph.D.

Joyce Mary Fatur, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 17, 2020.

She was born July 7, 1945 in Cleveland, OH to the late Frank R. Fatur, Sr. and Josephine (Pirnat) Fatur. Joyce was a 1963 graduate of the Ursuline Academy of the Sacred Heart and held a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Akron. She practiced child psychology for Beachwood City Schools until her retirement in 1999.

In addition to her parents, Frank R. Fatur Sr. and Josephine (Pirnat) Fatur, Joyce was preceded in death by her niece, Christine Marie Fatur, in August 2017. She is survived her nephew, Michael C. Fatur and great nephew, Caleb Andrew. Joyce was a loving sister, aunt, and godmother.

She enjoyed traveling, playing golf and attending live professional tennis matches.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be announced at a later date. Additionally, an inurnment will be scheduled at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Edward and Doris Fatur and family, Suzy and T.J. Wilson, and Marie and James Dettling for their support during this stressful time.
