Lois Seesdorf Simmons
Lois A.Simmons died on September 26, 2022, at the age of 96. She was born in Akron, Ohio and lived 60 years in Bath, Ohio. She attended Bath UCC for those 60 years. She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1945 and received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Akron.
She taught school at Revere and Woodridge school districts and taught GED classes and tutored after retiring. She was very active in the Weathervane Playhouse.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Paul G. Simmons, her parents Orvin and Catherine Seesdorf, son Charles G. Simmons, brother George H. Seesdorf, sisters Kathryn Wolfsberger and Dorothea Wilson.

She is survived by her daughter Jan K. O'Connell (Ray), grandchildren Kate Duinkerken, Kristin Vazquez, Paul A. Simmons, Melissa Ason, 12 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, four nieces and a nephew.

Calling hours at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery on Hametown Road following the service. Reception after the burial at Bath Church. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Bath Church Community Room.
