Margaret J (Keefer) Dodge

Margaret J. Dodge (nee Keefer), age 80, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2024. ​She was born August 22, 1943, in Akron, Ohio to parents, Edwin and Ferne Keefer. She is a 1961 graduate of North High School and graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree. She taught art for Stow City Schools and later became the “Story Lady” at the Northminster Pre-School for 17 years.

Margaret’s life was centered in faith, family and sharing with children. She was a beloved Sunday School teacher for 40 years. She served on many boards at Bailey Road Christian Church and was honored as Elder Emeritus. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Dodge; son, Thomas Dodge; sister, Rosemary Evelsizer, and nephew, Matthew Evelsizer. She is survived by sons, Edward, James, and Kenneth (Cindy); grandsons, Jayson, Brandon, Joseph and Lucas; nephews, Michael Evelsizer and Mark Evelsizer; and many great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours 1-3 P.M. FRIDAY January 26, 2024 at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, with Interment immediately following at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Pastor Tim Brown officiating.

A service to Celebrate Margaret’s Life will be held 11 A.M. SATURDAY January 27, 2024 at Bailey Road Christian Church, 3200 W. Bailey Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, with reception to follow.
