Mary Lambousakis passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and great grandmother, who devoted her life to taking care of her family. She just celebrated her 100th birthday in August.
Mary was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Akron, Ohio, and a member of the Philoptochos Society. She volunteered and made pastries for the annual church festival for as long as she could. She moved to Florida 4 years ago to be closer to her daughter, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.
Mary's husband, John, passed away 30 years ago. She leaves her daughter, Vangie (Michael) Pappas; her son, George (Linda) Lampos; her granddaughters, Katherine (Dan) Windstrup and Margarite Pappas; her grandsons, Sean Dreznin , John and Jason Lampos; and her great grandchildren, Athena Windstrup, Ezra Windstrup, and Triton Dreznin.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron, OH 44304 with Rev. Father Jerry Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service.
