Mary E. Swartzlander

Mary E. Swartzlander, 96, of Fairlawn, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Akron General Medical Center.  She was born in Akron on November 24, 1924 to the late James and Charlotte Wilkinson and was a graduate of Akron Buchtel High School.  She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 60 years and the Jaycee Wives Club. Mary enjoyed traveling and loved Ohio State Buckeyes Football.  She was an avid Bridge player, had a very sweet personality and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Roland Swartzlander and three sisters.

She leaves her children, Judy (David) Benish, James (Karol) Swartzlander and Susan Simonson; grandchildren, Barth Zarrillli, Samara Calderon, Pat Benish and Kathryn and Aaron Swartzlander; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
