Morris "Bruce" Boyd

Morris "Bruce" Boyd age 94 of Akron passed away on November 24, 2020 following a period of declining health. He was born in Nashville on August 9,1926 to Everett and Mable Boyd. He grew up in Akron and graduated from Central High School. He served in the Korean War and then went on to graduate from Kent State. He was employed by Goodyear where he enjoyed a successful career in advertising. Bruce was a longtime member of Brown Street Church of Christ.

  Bruce was a devoted husband to his wife Dorothy of 69 years until her passing in 2019. He is preceded in death by his brothers Donnie and Robert Boyd, his sister Jeannie Willmer and his nephew Bobby Willmer. He is survived by sister-in-law Beverly Boyd, nieces Donna Cox, Julie Yontz and Jill Patterson also nephews Charles (Nancy) Campbell, Jeff Campbell and Michael Willmer and a special friend of Bruce and Dorothy's Karen Ingol.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service due to covid.
