Myrna Meyers Openshaw

Myrna Meyers Openshaw, 80, of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Akron, Ohio passed away at her home after a courageous battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer on July 5, 2021. Myrna was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 22, 1940 to the late Francis and Sadie (Petersen) Brems. She was the District Manager at Taco Bell in Akron for 22 years, loved to travel, drink margaritas, and was a devout Christian, but most of all family was her life. Her husband Gary Openshaw passed away 9 days after her on July 14, 2021. Preceded in death by her granddaughter Wendy Sues; brothers Allen, Don, Buddy, Omer, and Louis; sisters Rae and Thora; and former husband Larry Meyers. She is survived by her daughter Denetta (Dennis) Rusch; son Justin (Christy) Miller; grandsons Jason (LeeAnn) Sues and Matthew (Christi) Rusch; great grandchildren Jonathan, Megan, Bradyn, Bryce, Caleigh and Baryn. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday July 23, 2021 at Billow Funeral Home, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 with Jason Sues officiating. Family and friends may visit from 10-11 AM on Friday prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at Catawba Island Township Cemetery at a later date where she will be laid to rest next to her granddaughter Wendy.
