Nancy Ann Parasson

AKRON - Our beautiful mom, Nancy Parasson, passed away June 13, 2022 after an extended illness at the age of 82.

She was the daughter of Michael and Catherine Terranova.

Mom met our dad, Tony Parasson, at a dance at the Trinity Youth Center on North Hill. They began dating while in their teens and were later married on May 5, 1962. They were just shy of their 20 year anniversary when dad was tragically killed in a car accident. Devastated by the loss of her one true love, mom carried on raising their 5 teenage children by herself. Her first priority was the happiness and well-being of her children. We are forever grateful for all that she did for us.

Mom is survived by her children; Gina, Tony (Teri), Maria, Mickey, and Nick (Dawn); grandchildren; Sienna, Leo, Natalie, Anna, Lauren, and Katie; siblings, Marie (Virgil) Kuntz, Mike (Faye) Terranova, Marianne (Jack) Lecerf, Jim (Sheri) Terranova; sister-in-law, Becky Hershberger; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Carl.

Mom loved her yard, flowers, Christmas lights, antiques, food, and travel. She cherished her late pets; Patsy, Booby and Bella. She especially enjoyed spending part of the year in Naples, FL entertaining family and friends with fun outings, shopping and meals at her favorite restaurants. Above all else, mom loved her children and grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 - 8 PM on Monday, June 20, 2022 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM Tuesday, June 21, at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 164 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44303. Interment immediately following at Mount Peace Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in mom’s name are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
