Patricia "Patty" Louise Bauer, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away Saturday, January 30 at the age of 73.

Patty is survived by her son, Sean Bauer; her two grandchildren, Callahan William and Delaney Louise; brothers Bill (Patricia), Tim (Vicki) and Tom (Julia) Schnee; and her many nieces and nephews. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bessie Schnee, and sister-in-law Pamela Schnee (nee Parsons).

Patty was born October 23, 1947 in Akron, Ohio, the second of four children. She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1965, and attended The University of Akron before transferring to Minnesota State University in Mankato. She welcomed her son Sean on November 27, 1984, and encouraged him to be hard-working, adventurous and compassionate. Patty eventually returned to school and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from Malone University in 1996. She enjoyed a fruitful career in insurance and human resources, and in semi-retirement found great joy ushering concerts at Blossom Music Center and University of Akron sporting events.

Patty was known for her larger than life personality, her unflappable sense of humor, and her annual batch of Christmas cookies. She was tirelessly dedicated to her family, and more than anything, Patty enjoyed spending time with her two rambunctious grandchildren, lounging in the pool on a hot summer day, or puttering in her backyard garden.
