Phillip D. Pashley

Phillip D. Pashley, born September 21, 1951, died January 6, 2022.

Phil's kindness and love extended to everyone he met. Having known him, we are the lucky ones. He left us knowing we were truly loved by him. Phil was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by spouse Maureen, children Amy & Darius, Bill & Lindsay, Nickie, Kelly, John & Alice. His treasured grandchildren include Gus, Graham, Sawyer, Heath and Edith. Phil's love extended beyond immediate family and includes Lynn & Dave, Dan, Brian & Justine, Sue, Kristen, Andy, Peter, Emma, Aiden, Natalie, Evelyn, Elise, Máté, Jessica, Cathy and Chuck. Phil was loyal to his bicycle friends from SMAC, cycling for long hours with adventures and misadventures going back many years. Our dear Phil was fully conscious of his health issues, he was fighting them bravely, and yet he had the healthiest psychological equanimity one could imagine. Phil was fully engaged in life in all its dimensions, actively, positively, mindfully and calmly, without complaint. We offer a sincere thank you to all the caring staff at Akron General. The day he died, he had written on a sheet of paper- "Live until you die". Phil, you did just that. 

We will all miss him so much. We will carry him with us all of our days.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with a Celebration of Life to be held immediately following at 2:00 p.m.
