Richard "Rick" N. Simmons

Richard "Rick" N. Simmons, 72, a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday, April 8th, 2020. 

Preceded in death by his parents,  Marshall and Virginia Null Simmons; Rick is survived by his brother, James "Frank” (Michelle) Simmons; son, Todd (Rachelle) Simmons; and daughter, Stefanie Bowman; grandchildren, Tyler, Tara and Hannah Simmons; several nieces, nephews and numerous lifelong friends. 

Rick attended Cuyahoga Falls High School and graduated in 1966. He joined the Army shortly after. He retired from the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department in 2009 and could often be found at River City Grill, or out riding his Harley. 

A private ceremony will be held and he will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park in Fairlawn. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Cuyahoga Falls FOP Lodge 49 or the Diabetes Association in his memory.
