Robbie Ashe Obituary

Robbie J. Ashe, 93, of Akron, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center following an extended illness. She was born in Happy Hollow, MS. on July 5, 1927 to the late Theron Lovelace and Emily Holly Nixon. She was employed as the executive secretary for the Dean at Cornell University and was the Secretary/Treasurer with Golden Gramophone.

Robbie was a member of First Baptist Church of Akron and was a master Bridge player. She was a member of The Akron Woman’s City Club and two Bridge Clubs, one that she organized herself. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

In addition to her parents, Robbie was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Ashe in 2013.

She leaves her son, John (Beth) Ashe, Robert (Karen) Ashe and David (Marilyn) Ashe; grandchildren, Jodi, D.J., Paul and Nick; great grandchildren, Jackson, Ella and Maddie.

Funeral services will be private for the family.
