Timothy (Tim) Fred Godard

December 20, 1951 ~ January 8, 2022 (age 70)


Timothy Fred Godard (Tim) passed away on January 8, 2022 at the age of 70 after a short illness.

Born in Akron, Ohio in 1951, Tim was a lifelong resident of Bath. He spent his life in the car business. Tim worked with his father at Fred Godard Ford Inc. for over 25 years and operated the dealership after his father’s death. Tim later started Godard Auto Sales & Leasing in 1999. He loved to find just the right car or truck for his customers.

Tim was active in Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ as an Elder and as the official ‘Swiss Steak Dinner Cook’. Tim was a member of the Meridian Sun Masonic Lodge #69 in Richfield, OH, the Tadmor Temple Shrine in Akron, OH and was a member of the Valley of Akron Scottish Rite

Tim had a huge heart and loved to help people. He loved telling stories and making people laugh. In his spare time, he also loved hunting, fishing, boating, buying cars, and collecting decoys. Tim enjoyed spending time on his farm in Medina, OH riding and driving his beloved mules with his family.

Preceding him in death is his father, Fred Godard, mother, Bet Godard, and brother, Thomas Godard. He leaves the love of his life, Kathy Godard, his children Kristine Godard and Michael Godard, brother Tanios Viviani (Liliane), sisters Susan Dudas (David) and Atchara Gary, brother-in-law Denny Davis (Sonia), nieces Lilia Dudas, Danielle Dudas, Stephanie Skernivitz (Tom), Bethany Chassy (Ross), Anna Viviani and Livia Viviani, and great nephews Solomon, Lionel, and Max.

Special family: Gary, Becky, Lyndsey and Jason DeMoss; Andy Cox; Katherine Jaeger; countless near and dear friends and his Godard Auto Sales family.

Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday, January 15 at Mt. Zwingli UCC, 2172 S. Medina Line Rd., Wadsworth, OH. Friends may call from 5 to 8pm on Friday, January 14 at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in his memory.
