Wanda E. Pilcher

Wanda E. Pilcher (Nee Tatko) was born February 28, 1932 and passed on April 8, 2022, at the age of 90. A lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio.

Preceded in death by husband, C. Richard Pilcher, parents, Stanley and Helen Tatko, siblings, Phyllis, Stanley and Henry. Wanda is survived by sister, Jane Tatko; sons, Richard (Pam), Kenneth (Joanne) and Larry (Monica); grandchildren, Meaghan (Luke), Vaughn (Khloe), William and Katie; great grandchildren, Aiden and Link.

She was a long time patron of The Akron Symphony, The Ohio Ballet, The Akron Art Institute and was an accomplished artist in her own right. She and her husband also gave generously to various local committees and organizations for the betterment of Akron. She was a bridge enthusiast and had attained the coveted level of Life Grand Master. She was loved and admired by those who knew her and will be truly missed.

Mass of The Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 20 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St. Fairlawn, OH 44333 with the Rev. Fr. Steve Brunovsky officiating. Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, April 19 from 5-8 P.M. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Akron, OH 44333. Burial at Rose Hill Burial Park.
