Caring For Families During the COVID-19 Pandemic

To Our Friends and Neighbors,

We have been monitoring the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and are closely following the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC, Ohio Department of Health, State of Ohio, and Federal Government. While each passing day brings new developments, our top priority continues to be the health and safety of our community, the families we serve, and our staff. In order to help contain the transmission of COVID-19, we will continue to follow precautionary measures. These measures are subject to change with or without notice and we will continue to update them as we learn more about this virus.

Per Governor DeWine's orders, attendance of services is currently limited to 50% of the fire code at each location. The Billow Fairlawn Chapel is limited to approximately 501 guests; the Cuyahoga Falls Chapel is limited to 333 guests; and Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory in Kent is limited to 240 guests. 

In order to keep all guests safe and limit the risk of transmission of COVID-19, masks are required at all services and we request that social distancing precautions be followed.

Additionally, Billow's offers complementary live streaming and recording of services to allow guests to view a service safely from home. Families may choose to do a livestream and/or recording if they wish. We will continue to offer an online Guestbook and online Tribute Wall on our websites, www.billowfuneralhomes.com and www.bisslerandsons.com, which will allow the public to express their condolences and show their support. We also actively encourage our community to pray for the deceased and their families. Your expressions of love, phone calls of support, and notes of encouragement can and will provide comfort at this time.

Furthermore, to protect the elderly and those most at risk from the virus, we have increased our vigilance in cleaning, disinfecting and sanitization protocols at our locations. We are confident that our facilities, vehicles and equipment remain clean and sanitary. Our team remains diligent in following safety precautions.
